  17.    SANTA CLARA, Calif., October 12, 1992 —  Creating a new price entry point
  18. for large-screen color displays, RasterOps Corporation (NASDAQ:ROPS) today
  19. reduced the prices of its true color, 20- and 21-inch monitors by as much as 30
  20. percent:

  22.   • RasterOps/20T Multiscan Trinitron® Color Display — now $2,499 — was $3,499
  23.   • RasterOps/20 Multimode Color Display — now $1,499 — was $1,799
  24.   • RasterOps 21-Inch Color Monitor  — now $2,999 — was $3,599

  26.    Effective immediately, the RasterOps/20T Multiscan Trinitron Color Display —
  27. which provides superior overall image quality required by professionals engaged
  28. in color critical work on the desktop — is reduced 30 percent, from $3,499 to
  29. $2,499.  At this listing, the RasterOps/20T Multiscan Trinitron Color Display
  30. represents the lowest priced Trinitron technology among major Trinitron monitor
  31. suppliers, including the SuperMac™ SuperMatch™ 20T, which has a suggested
  32. retail price of $2,999 and the Radius™ PrecisionColor Display 20, listed at
  33. $3,299.

  43. previously priced out of the large-screen display market, is now $1,499,
  44. reduced from $1,799.  In addition, the RasterOps 21-Inch Color Monitor,
  45. previously priced at $3,599, is available for $2,999 and offers a full two-page
  46. WYSIWYG display for graphic arts and creative services professionals.

  50.    The RasterOps/20T Multiscan Trinitron Color Display is a high-end,
  51. multifrequency color monitor that features cutting-edge Trinitron technology at
  52. a price typically associated with lower-performance displays. Priced at $2,499,
  53. the RasterOps/20T provides a crisp, flicker-free display and supports
  54. resolutions from 640 x 480 pixels up to 1280 x 1024.  The RasterOps/20T display
  55. is compatible with RasterOps’ complete line of color display adapters for the
  56. Macintosh® and PC platforms, including:

  71. can be used on many platforms, allowing volume purchasers and resellers to
  72. standardize on a single model.  Previously priced at $1,799, the RasterOps/20
  73. is a multifrequency, color display which provides high-resolution support for
  74. sharp corner-to-corner image stability at multiple resolutions.  The
  75. RasterOps/20 display offers a wide range of resolution support, from 640 x 480
  76. to 1024 x 768, which includes all of the RasterOps display boards for the
  77. Macintosh.  It can also be used with the RasterOps PaintBoard PC 24-bit display
  78. adapter and other VGA compatible cards for the IBM® PC.  At this new price, the
  79. RasterOps/20 compares very favorably to SuperMac’s SuperMatch 20 at $1,799 and
  80. the Radius PrecisionColor Display 19 at $2,499.  It is the lowest cost,

  88. diagonal screen provides 1124 x 870 resolution and includes anti-glare screen
  89. coating, automatic degaussing, and ergonomic brightness and contrast controls.

  91. products such as the SuperMac SuperMatch 21 at $3,299, the Radius
  92. PrecisionColor Display 21 at $3,699,  and the Apple 21-Inch Color Monitor at
